The sport of rodeo is well-known for its endless action and deep roots in Alberta’s history. Like any other sport, there comes a day when injuries have a lifestyle altering impact on the cowboys and cowgirls. The Edmonton Rodeo Cowboy’s Benevolent Foundation was created to support or rodeo athletes through various initiatives such as the popular Black Tie Bingo event. To date the Edmonton Rodeo Cowboy’s Benevolent Foundation has directly contributed over $1.3 million to 190 athletes and their families in times of need. A large part of this is due to the fundraising efforts of all those who have donated and supported the Black Tie Bingo through the years. All of the proceeds generated from the evening go directly to support the Edmonton Rodeo Cowboy’s Benevolent Foundation.
This year’s hosts are a part of the Standup for Fundraising Team.
Your Emcee for the evening Andrew Grose is a Canadian comedy veteran with some of the most impressive credentials in the industry. In addition to over 15 years of live performances in comedy clubs and festivals he has made his mark on national television in Canada. Some of his credits include The Comedy Network, Just For Laughs Television Galas , The Vicki Gabereau Show and episodes of Comedy At Club 54.
Our celebrity host and live auction assistant Graham Neil is the host and reporter of the nightly entertainment segment on CTV News Edmonton which reaches over 1.2 million viewers across north central Alberta. Graham has traveled all over North America, mixing and mingling with some of the entertainment world’s biggest names.
The auctioneer for the evening Russ Finaly has received various honours for his work including an international Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding feature story, two Alberta Motion Picture Industry Awards and Consumer’s Choice named him Edmonton’s Man of the Year for 2005. Calgary, Alberta August 7th, 1993.
